Abstract: C h r i s t i a n i t y and Muhammadanism both claim to be revelations from G od; each bases its teaching concerning faith and practice on a book which it regards as the word of God, and in this teaching there is much in common. They both maintain that there is but one God, Maker of heaven and earth; they both hold that the most important consideration for man in this life is his relation to this G od; and they both profess to look forward to the attainment of that vision of God which can alone satisfy the human soul— that nearness and likeness to Him which is heaven, and which both hold will be attained only hereafter.
